MEET ADE
Adewunmi “Ade” Kuforiji, a Kent County resident for about 30 years.

I have devoted my career to serving my fellow Delawareans. After graduating from Wesley College in Dover with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics, I proceeded to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Delaware State College, now University.

Over the course of my almost 25-year State career, I have worked in financial management and reporting. I have worked at various agencies in the State that have given me perspectives on various segments of our government and the needs of the people they serve; Health and Social Services, Natural Resources & Environmental Control and Education.

A lot of my experience has been around financial management and reporting. I’ve provided senior management with analyses and advice for making informed decisions. My work experience will help in forming laws with the understanding of the impact for those tasked with implementing them. I understand the need to balance revenue generation and efficient use of resources to meet the objectives.
I value people and seek to find and support, simple and straight forward solutions to the challenges facing our community, County, and State.
